Pattern recognition in messy data

Taking a raw dataset with gaps and inconsistencies and asking what is actually signal. I care about the unglamorous part: cleaning, documenting assumptions, and checking whether a pattern survives when you change how you slice the data.

Modeling a real decision

Building a small model for a decision with tradeoffs — pricing, allocation, or forecasting — and stress-testing it. Numbers don't make the decision for you, but they make the decision arguable, which is far more useful.
